Well, we celebrated 3 birthdays in September; Anny, Ryan and Richard. We finished reading Fearless. We are doing algabra in math.  In our reading groups we are reading tall tales.  We finished reading a talltale called Mike Fink. In social studies we are learing about the French and Indian War. Students are reaching their reading goals. We finished our amusment parks.

Homework assigments for September 30, 2013

1. Math: powers of 10 worksheet
2. Reading: Read for 30 minutes
3. Science: locate an additional resource on your energy source (DUE WEDNESDAY)
4. Writing: Type or handwrite the final copy of your adventure story (DUE FRIDAY)

Our week for 9/16-9/19

This week we have been very busy finishing the adventure story Fearless!  Students were learning how to draw inferences using quotes from the story.  We also discussed the elements of the story that were historically accurate. 

The students really enjoyed the story and I encourage them all to read another adventure novel at home as part of thier 30 minutes of reading everynight!
